MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to persons or institutions who subscribe to this constitution and such other persons as the Board of Directors may from time to time admit members, not less than 3 persons shall be members of the organization, provided that a members shall cease to be a member if:

Categories of Membership

Explore the types of membership within our organization

Full Membership
Opened to all persons that meet the eligibility criteria as laid down in section 3.1 of this constitution.
Associate Membership
Non-profit institutions active in development, which do not meet the Full membership eligibility criteria.
Honorary Membership
Individual with seminal contribution to social work. One honorary member may be elected per year by unanimous Board vote.
Trustees
These are the founding members of the organization.
Coming Soon
A future category may be introduced based on evolving organizational needs and member roles.

Rights and Duties of Members

Full Members
  • Attend the General Assembly and participate fully where possible and by recommending the Organization as much as possible
  • Participate and recommend the Organization
  • Pay registration and annual subscription fees of One Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH₵100.00)
  • Explore Accounts of the Organization
  • Vote and stand for electable positions in the Organization
  • Training programs organized by the Organization
ASSOCIATE AND HONORARY MEMBERS
  • Attend the General Assembly
  • Participate fully where possible and by recommending the Organization
  • Explore Accounts of the Organization
  • Access to information regarding new sources of funding
  • Exemption to provincial registration fees
  • Act as ambassadors to the Organization
TRUSTEES
  • Attend the General Assembly
  • Support and advise the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer on fulfilling their tasks and duties
  • May define the tasks and duties of the Board of Directors and stipulate their rules of procedure
  • Elect three of their members as representatives of the Board of Directors
  • Act in an honorary capacity. They are liable for intent and gross negligence
